This was my second time in Seattle, and it was even better! The last time I went was 2 years ago in autumn. From what I've heard, Seattle is nicer in the fall, however I had a blast this summer! From the Space Needle, to the International Fountain, to Fremont, and everything in between. Seattle further cements it's reputation in my mind as one of the coolest cities in Washington! Obviously, the amazing and unique cuisine of Seattle contributes to that. (Check out the Culinary Arts Page for some of my favourite recipes!) Though I still prefer Olympia; Seattle is quickly making it's way up my favourite cities ladder. Also, -since it would be a shame to not mention it,- Our overnight visit to rural Kelso, really showed how places that aren't very far apart geographically, couldn't be more different society wise. From Kelso, we made our way to Mount St. Helens. We spent the day doing a relaxing, 4 hour hike, which provided different, yet beautiful scenery at every turn of the trail. Below you'll find a slideshow of just a few of the places we visited. Are you a fan? Either way, it's close to impossible to get bored in Seattle. Between the posh, skyscraper filled shopping district, and the down-to-earth hipsters from ________. There's something to float everyone's boat in Seattle, and if you happen to be there for a longer stay, then you could always hop on a boat over to some of the islands.
